The Registrar of Companies has dissolved 176 firms operating in Kenya, rendering hundreds jobless, with an additional 155 companies slated for dissolution in the coming months. This comes as Kenya introduces Ozempic and Wegovy, new prescription medicines containing semaglutide, to combat the rising burden of type 2 diabetes and obesity, officially launched in Nairobi by pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk. Meanwhile, Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has clarified the process for first-year students wishing to change their university courses.
