Two People Dead, 14 Nursing Burns After Fuel Tanker Explodes in Turbo - September 2026

A petroleum tanker explosion following an accident on Thursday night in Turbo constituency, Uasin Gishu county, has resulted in two fatalities. Fourteen people sustained burns and were receiving medical treatment. In a separate incident, nine people were killed in road accidents in Machakos and Kisii counties. Additionally, three of five people killed in a bandit attack in the Isiolo area's Gotu region were laid to rest, highlighting persistent security challenges in various parts of the country.
