A pregnant woman identified as Catherine Njeri allegedly died after being pushed from a moving police vehicle in Kenya. Police officers from Wang'uru Police Station are under investigation for the incident. Meanwhile, the National Police Service is investigating the suspected murder of another pregnant woman, Catherine Njeru, whose body was discovered early Friday morning by the roadside in the Itangi area of Kirinyaga County with head and hip injuries. In a separate development, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions clarified that no criminal charges were filed against two police officers and two civilians initially linked to rape and robbery allegations. The NPS is also launching mandatory ethics and integrity training for all officers, from recruits to commanders, as part of a comprehensive strategy to combat corruption within the force.
