The Kenyan Government will start disbursing monthly Inua Jamii stipends to vulnerable populations via mobile money transfers beginning in December.

• Monthly payments will replace the previous bi-monthly disbursements.
• Principal Secretary for Social Protection in the Ministry of Labour, Joseph Motari, announced the changes.
• Beneficiaries have begun queuing to open bank accounts for the program, with significant activity observed at the Elburgon Assistant County Commissioner’s office in Nakuru County on May 24, 2024.
