The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has taken over the investigation into the murder of Seth Nyakio, the daughter of a Kirinyaga politician, with her ex-boyfriend identified as the prime suspect. Her body was found on October 14 in Thika Town.

• 23 years old was found sexually assaulted and strangled.
• Key suspect is the deceased's former boyfriend, who remains at large.
