Kenyan police, as part of the Multinational Security Support (MSS) Mission, have begun demolishing gang hideouts near the Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

• 600 additional Kenyan officers are to be deployed by November, supplementing the existing 400 in Haiti.

• Gangs affiliated with Viv Ansanm threatened airport security, disrupting international flights until recent demolitions.
