A renewed campaign to end Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) has been launched in Kenya, coinciding with the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

• 70% of women in some counties, like Nyamira and Kisii, have undergone FGM.
• Dorice Donya Aburi, Kisii Woman Representative, is actively participating in the campaign which aims to tackle rising cases of gender-based violence.
• The campaign received a significant boost as President William Ruto pledged Sh100 million to eradicate FGM and related violence.
