The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has committed to enhancing the protection of taxpayer data during its digital transformation efforts, according to Commissioner General Humphrey Wattanga.

• Implementation of a Data Minimisation Strategy in collaboration with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC).
• KRA aims to uphold data integrity, having recently achieved the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for Information Security Management Systems.
• The digital agenda includes launching the GAVA Connect API platform for user-friendly tax solutions and piloting Artificial Intelligence (AI) in border cargo inspections.
