The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has arrested Webster Ochora Elijah for allegedly publishing a book about Charlene Ruto, the daughter of President William Ruto, without her consent.

• The book titled Beyond the Name: Charlene Ruto and the Youth Uprising led to charges of identity theft under the Computer Misuse and Cybercrime Act.
• According to his lawyer, Kennedy Mong’are, Ochora is a renowned author who has previously written about figures like Raila Odinga and Donald Trump.
• Senior advocate Evans Ondieki described the arrest as politically motivated, emphasizing the importance of freedom of expression in a democratic society.
