A woman has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for murdering her ex-lover in Nanyuki, concluding a complex seven-year legal battle.

• She was found guilty of murder committed on December 4, 2018, during an unlawful entry into the victim's home.
• The case was prosecuted by Ms Esther Kimani from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP).
• The accused, who was already serving multiple sentences for robbery, was apprehended with the victim’s stolen car and electronics shortly after the crime.
