• The woman was arrested over a missing Ksh18,000 from her workplace; her family managed to raise Ksh6,000.
• The NGEC emphasized the need for gender-responsive policing and mandatory training for officers.
• Despite complaints of severe pain and a request for medical assistance, her pleas for help were allegedly ignored by the officers.
