The Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi announced a historic education budget of Ksh702.7 billion, accounting for 28 percent of the total Ksh4.29 trillion budget for the fiscal year 2025/26.
- HELB allocation increased to Ksh41.5 billion from last year's Ksh35 billion.
- The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) receives the largest share with Ksh387.2 billion, including allocations for hiring new teachers and supporting educational programs.
