President William Ruto has signed Executive Order One, a directive that will reshape the structure and operations of the Kenyan government, potentially leading to significant leadership reshuffles. This move aims to establish a more transparent, efficient, and citizen-centered administration aligned with the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).

• The order outlines the structure of the Government of Kenya, detailing Ministries, State Departments, and roles under the Executive Office.
• The Executive Office of the President is expanded to include Office of the Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Strategy Delivery Unit, President’s Delivery Unit, and the Presidential Economic Transformation Secretariat.
• Seven new State Departments have been created, including National Government Coordination and Aviation and Aerospace Development.
