President William Ruto announced that over 100,000 small businesses in Kenya will receive a Sh5 billion grant to enhance their operations.

• Sh50,000 will be distributed to 70 small business owners in each of the country’s 1,450 wards.
• World Bank is partnering with the government for this initiative.
• The program aims to support micro and small businesses and is part of the government's broader agenda to empower those at the economic base.
