Lake Turkana Wind Power has made significant contributions to Kenya's economy and environment, recording an expenditure of Sh2.6 billion in taxes for the year 2024.

It spent Sh167 billion on fuel import displacement and achieved 10.89% contribution to the national grid.
Joy Brenda Mdivo, Chairperson of Kenya Power and Lighting Company, highlighted the project's role in sustainable development.
The project offset 574,547 tonnes of Carbon Dioxide emissions and has invested Sh875 million in social and community initiatives over six years.
