The Judges' Retirement Benefits Bill 2025, if approved by Parliament, will provide improved retirement packages for judges, enhancing benefits for their families and replacing outdated provisions of the General Pensions Act.

Judges will receive a monthly pension of two-thirds of their annual pensionable compensation after serving at least 10 years.
The bill is currently open for public participation until July 11.
Notable provisions include family benefits, with a deceased judge's spouse receiving 50 per cent of their pension for five years and children entitled to a share based on the number of dependents.
