A total of 11,636 students have been placed in teacher education programmes through KUCCPS, as announced by Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba on Tuesday.

• 10,800 students are set to pursue Diploma in Primary Teacher Education, while 836 will enroll in Diploma in Secondary Teacher Education.
• The recent surge in applications is attributed to reforms by the Presidential Working Party on Education Reform, which lowered entry requirements for teacher training colleges.
• This initiative aims to enhance access to education, including the opening of new TTCs in Northern Kenya.
