• Tim Wanyonyi confirmed his bid during an interview on July 7, stating, "I’m ready to go and serve the people of Bungoma now."
• Previously, he aimed for the governorship of Nairobi but faced complications that kept him off the ballot.
• Wanyonyi was elected as Westlands MP in 2013 and was re-elected in 2017 and 2022.
