Investigators from the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) have submitted a preliminary report on the recent Air India crash, which occurred on June 12, to the federal ministry of civil aviation.

• The crash involved a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, resulting in 241 fatalities among the 242 passengers on board.
• The AAIB was established to investigate aircraft accidents in India and initiated a probe into the crash shortly after.
• The aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, also claiming 19 lives on the ground.
