Kenya has launched Africa’s first fully electric cold-chain delivery network through a collaboration between Roam and Keep It Cool (KIC), marking a significant step in sustainable food logistics.

• 250,000 kilograms of fresh food are delivered weekly using the new system.
• The partnership features Roam, a 2022 Earthshot Prize finalist, and Keep It Cool, the 2024 Earthshot Prize winner.
• This initiative has achieved a 98% reduction in post-harvest losses for over 1.5 million kg of food.
