Chief Justice Martha Koome has announced a six-week recess for the Supreme Court of Kenya, starting from August 1, 2025, to September 15, 2025.

• The court break is in accordance with the Constitution of Kenya and Supreme Court Act.
• The Chief Justice confirmed that the court registry will remain open for urgent matters during the recess.
• Judges will use this time to focus on tasks such as legal research and writing judgments.
