The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development in Kenya has introduced a Fertiliser Insurance Program to support smallholder farmers against droughts and floods.

• Program will reach an estimated 250,000 farmers across 11 counties, providing each with Sh7,000 worth of insurance.
• PULA president Rose Goslinga highlighted the program as a major advancement in agricultural resilience.
• Compensation will be directly disbursed to farmers' mobile wallets and is based on satellite monitoring.
