The Kenya Roads Board (KRB) has released Ksh3.68 billion from the Road Maintenance Levy Fund to counties for the 2024/2025 financial year, aimed at road maintenance.

• Ksh3,682,774,150 released represents 35 percent of the total Ksh10.52 billion owed for the year.
• The funds allocation follows a court ruling mandating that the money be shared with counties.
• Counties are required to submit work plans by August 12, 2025, with the highest recipient, Kitui County, allocated Ksh152.42 million.
