Juja Member of Parliament George Koimburi has been charged with providing false information after allegedly staging his abduction to evade arrest in a land fraud case.

• Koimburi appeared in court on July 23, 2023, and denied two counts of giving false information.
• The charge relates to an incident on May 25, 2023, in Mugutha area, Kiambu County, where he purportedly conspired with others to fake his kidnapping.
• He was ordered to pay a cash bail of Sh300,000 and report for fingerprint processing at Kilimani Police Station.
