The Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Salim Mvurya, conducted a multi-agency training on safety and security for the upcoming 2024 CHAN Championship at the Kasarani Stadium. This three-day event focused on emergency response and disaster management.

• Kenya will host the CHAN group A matches at Nyayo and Kasarani stadiums, with the final scheduled for August 30.
• The Harambee Stars are in Group A alongside DR Congo, Morocco, Angola, and Zambia.
• Tanzania will kick off the tournament on October 2 against Burkina Faso at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
