The African Union Commission (AUC), in partnership with the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) and AUDA-NEPAD, has launched a competitive Call for Proposals under the Africa Think Tank Platform (ATTP). This initiative seeks to empower African think tanks to conduct policy-relevant research, with strategic funding support from the World Bank.

• Up to five consortia of 3 to 5 African think tanks will receive grants of approximately US$10 million each for up to 2.5 years.
• Selma Malika Haddadi, Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission, emphasized the platform's role in ensuring African institutions lead the continent's development.
• The deadline for proposal submission is September 24, 2025, with award notifications by November 14, 2025.
