John Mbadi has been formally replaced as a nominated Member of Parliament as the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) reallocates special seats across Parliament and County Assemblies. • Mbadi's position has been filled by Harold Kimuge Kipchumba under the Persons with Disabilities (PWD) category, effective July 24, 2025.
• The IEBC defended its actions, citing its constitutional mandate under Article 90 of the Constitution and Section 37(1) of the Elections Act.
• Nine other nominated members across various County Assemblies, including those in Murang’a, Kiambu, and Garissa, were also replaced due to resignations or deaths.
