Leaders from the Gabra community have vehemently rejected objections to the Marsabit Wind Power Project in Gas, asserting their community as the sole host and dismissing criticisms as misleading attempts to derail the project.

• The Gabra community of Gas is stated to be the only indigenous group residing in the project location, fully supporting its implementation.
• Tura Ruru Elema, the Member of County Assembly (MCA) for North Horr Ward and spokesperson of the Gabra community, addressed a letter to Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen).
• The Gabra community insisted the project, located 100 percent in Gas, should be named the Gas Wind Power Project, and its administrative offices must remain in Gas.
