Insurance giant Allianz Life has announced that a cyber-attack on July 16, 2025, compromised the personal data of a majority of its 1.4 million customers in North America. The breach, which was limited to Allianz Life’s databases, also affected financial professionals and selected employees.

• A malicious threat actor gained access to a third-party, cloud-based CRM system used by Allianz Life through a social engineering technique.
• The data breach specifically affected Allianz Life's customers, financial professionals, and select Allianz Life employees.
• Allianz has notified the FBI, taken immediate action to contain the breach, and stated there is "no evidence the Allianz Life network or other company systems were accessed."
