Thunes is discontinuing its PayPal Mobile Money transfer service with M-Pesa on August 16, 2025. This popular platform, which facilitated easy money transfers between PayPal and M-Pesa, will be replaced by a direct integration within the M-Pesa app.

• All PayPal to M-Pesa transfers will be exclusively processed through the M-Pesa app via the PayPal mini app after August 16, 2025.
• The service partner is transitioning from Thunes to direct collaboration between Safaricom and PayPal.
• Users are advised to download or update the official M-Pesa app and link their PayPal account within the M-Pesa app under the "Grow" section, ensuring PayPal and M-Pesa names match.
