Airtel Africa reported a significant revenue increase to Sh184 billion ($1.4 billion) for the quarter ending June 30, 2025, driven by strong growth in mobile money, voice, and data services. The telco sees substantial future growth potential, especially in mobile money and smartphone adoption.

• Airtel Africa's total revenue grew by 22.4 percent to Sh184 billion ($1.4 billion) in the quarter ended June 30, 2025.
• Revenue in East Africa increased by 17.6 percent to Sh64.7 billion ($498 million).
• Mobile money annualised transaction value grew by 35 percent to Sh21.06 trillion ($162 billion), with its customer base expanding by 16.1 percent to 45.8 million.
• The overall customer base grew by 9 percent, with data customers increasing by 17.4 percent to 75.6 million.
• Airtel Kenya has surpassed 24 million subscribers, as confirmed by the Communication Authority (CA).
