Police in Kisumu County have arrested five suspects believed to be part of a gang responsible for a wave of insecurity, including a brutal attack on a Mediamax journalist. The arrests were made on Monday, July 28, after officers raided a suspected hideout along the Auji River in Manyatta 'B' Sub-Location.

• Five suspects apprehended in connection with various crimes, including robbery with violence in Nyamasaria Estate.
• During the operation, police recovered a Honda motorcycle, three machetes, a knife, and a toy gun.
• The Mediamax journalist was attacked on Sunday, July 26, by a gang of about ten people at his home in Nyamasaria, sustaining deep knife cuts and head injuries.
