• The concerns follow a Nation Media Group investigation revealing the Kenyatta family's alleged involvement in the Nairobi Expressway procurement, potentially earning between Ksh1.8 billion to Ksh2.8 billion from supplying sand and land.
• MAK proposes using taxes, loans, or bonds for road funding instead of PPPs, advocating for more transparent, fair, and sustainable capital project financing.
