Kenya's Cabinet has approved the restructuring of Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC), intending to list the firm on the Nairobi Securities Exchange. This move aims to "democratise ownership" and enhance KPC's commercial potential by shifting from state dominance to private-sector-led growth.

• KPC’s listing is expected to inject private capital and professional expertise, modernise operations, and position it as a regional logistics and energy powerhouse.
• The decision was announced following a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, led by President William Ruto.
• The Cabinet also greenlighted Phase III of the Last Mile Connectivity Project, connecting 180,500 new homes, schools, and MSMEs, and the Olkaria VII Geothermal Project, adding 80.3MW of clean power by 2027.
