President William Ruto affirmed Kenya's strong bilateral ties with Uganda, signing eight Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with President Yoweri Museveni to enhance socio-economic partnership.
- The MOUs cover Mining, Transport, Quality Assurance, Agriculture, Fisheries, Urban development, Tourism, and Trade.
- President Ruto highlighted plans to address persistent non-tariff barriers and enhance the transport corridor from Kenya to the Central Republic of Congo and the Central African Republic, including a railway extension from Naivasha set to begin by end of this year.
- The Busia metro project, involving urban development and market expansion, is slated to commence between this year and 2028.
