This decision reverses a January 19, 2024 ruling that had cleared the accused due to insufficient evidence.

• The accused were alleged to have conspired to defraud the government of Ksh.5.9 billion through a fraudulent Supplier's Credit Agreement for police security equipment.
• Key individuals include former Finance Minister David Mwiraria (deceased), former PS, Ministry of Finance Joseph Mbui Magari, and businessmen Rashmi Chamanlal Kamani, Deepak Kumar Kamani, and Chamanlal Vrajlal Kamani.
