Heavy rainfall in Guinea has led to devastating floods, claiming at least 30 lives in the capital and surrounding areas since late June. The latest surge in fatalities occurred on Wednesday night, significantly increasing the death toll.

• At least 30 people have died due to flooding in Conakry and its environs.
• The National Agency for Emergency and Humanitarian Disaster Management (ANGUCH) reported that 15 people died on Wednesday night alone.
• In addition to the fatalities, three people are currently missing following the recent flooding, which involved "flash floods, house collapses, landslides and flooding of several neighbourhoods."
