The new Diani Modern Market in Kwale County will integrate Information and Communication Technology (ICT) hubs to advance digital inclusion, alongside other modern amenities focused on grassroots economic development.

• The market, currently 85 percent complete, is set to employ 60 on-site workers and will accommodate 500 traders in 219 modern stalls.
• Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo stated it will feature cold storage, a mothers' room, a food court, and a 200-seater social hall.
• This project is part of the government's broader digitization agenda, with similar market initiatives underway across counties like Nakuru, Siaya, and Kiambu, including a Sh13 billion commitment in Kiambu for five large metropolitan markets.
