The Parliament of Rwanda has warned that “political flip-flopping” by Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) leaders, specifically National Assembly Speaker Vital Kamerhe, risks jeopardizing the fragile peace process in eastern DRC.

• Kamerhe's recent accusations against Rwanda in Geneva contradicted his earlier support for the US-brokered Peace Agreement signed on June 27 between Rwanda and DRC.
• The agreement aims to end hostilities and integrate armed groups like the M23 rebels and FDLR militia.
• The newly established Joint Oversight Committee (JOC), supported by the United States, Qatar, Togo, and the African Union Commission, held its inaugural session in Washington, D.C. to implement the peace deal.
• US President Donald Trump is expected to host Presidents Paul Kagame and Félix Tshisekedi at the White House to finalize implementation plans.
