The Council of Legal Education (CLE) has released an updated list of accredited institutions permitted to offer law degrees in Kenya across diploma, undergraduate, and master's levels, serving as a regulatory measure for legal education quality.

• Only four universities are approved to offer Master of Laws (LL.M.) programmes: Strathmore Law School, Mount Kenya University School of Law, Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA), and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).
• 18 institutions obtained approval to offer the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree, including both public and private universities.
• Only four institutions made the cut for diploma programmes: Catholic University of Eastern Africa, Mount Kenya University (Parklands Campus), Kisii University, and Kenya School of Law.
