Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary General Edwin Sifuna has declared he will resign if the party formally agrees to collaborate with the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) for the 2027 General Election. Speaking in Trans Nzoia, the Nairobi Senator stressed his commitment to ODM's principles.

• Sifuna stated he would not endorse any pact supporting President William Ruto's UDA, saying, "The day they say ODM has agreed to join hands and support UDA in the 2027 elections—that I will not read."
• He challenged critics and those suggesting MP Jared Okello as his replacement to "be on standby" for his departure under such circumstances.
• Sifuna also hinted at forming alliances with other anti-government voices, including Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya, to remove President Ruto from power.
