Mining Cabinet Secretary Hassan Joho has appointed 83 individuals to serve on nine Community Development Agreement Committees, as per a gazette notice dated August 1 and in accordance with Regulation 7 (1) of the Mining (Community Development Agreement) Regulations.

• A total of 83 appointments were made across nine committees on July 9.
• The first committee was established between the Jaribuni Community in Kauma Sub-county, Kilifi County, and Victoria Engineering Company Limited, comprising 14 members.
• Some individuals, like Omar Said Omar, Agnes Wangari Wachira, and Peter Shehe, serve on multiple Jaribuni Community committees, including those with S.S. Mehta and Sons Limited and Hunan Road and Bridge Construction Group Company Limited.
• One committee was formed for the Boyani Community in Rabai Sub-county, Kilifi County, with Karsan Ramji & Sons Company Limited, also consisting of 14 new members.
