The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has been fined Ksh2.5 million by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) due to several security breaches during the Kenya vs DR Congo CHAN 2024 match on August 3, 2024 at Kasarani Stadium.

• The fine of Ksh2.5 million was imposed following various security lapses.
• The CAF security report detailed a stampede outside Gate 11, a motorbike inside the stadium, and fans lighting a fire behind the stands at Block 18.
• In the VVIP section, CAF protocol officials were denied access, and a CAF commercial staff member was allegedly assaulted by an employee from Falcon Private Security.
