The Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced a planned nationwide power outage for maintenance on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

• Maintenance will affect multiple counties including Nairobi, Meru, Mombasa, Kwale, Kajiado, Kericho, and Nyeri.
• In Nairobi, areas like Waiyaki Way, Loresho, and locations near Kabete Technical Training Institute will experience interruptions.
• Specific affected areas include Aga Khan Hospital Mombasa in Mombasa County and Carrefour and Swahili Beach Resort on Diani Beach Road in Kwale County.
