Charges have been withdrawn against Adrian de Wet, one of three men accused of killing two black women and feeding their bodies to pigs on a farm near Polokwane, South Africa. De Wet will now testify as a state witness against farm owner Zachariah Johannes Olivier.

• The victims, Maria Makgato, 45, and Lucia Ndlovu, 34, were killed in August 2024.
• De Wet, 20, claims he was forced to dispose of the bodies by Olivier, 60.
• The case has heightened racial tensions, particularly in rural areas, 30 years after apartheid ended.
