Three Multinational Security Support Mission (MSSM) officers were injured and armored vehicles destroyed in an early morning ambush by Haitian gangs in Kenscoff on Thursday, August 7. The attack occurred after forces, primarily Kenyan police, responded to distress calls, triggering a clash in which the officers were ambushed with Molotov cocktails after their vehicles became stuck in trenches.

• Three MSSM officers sustained injuries and were treated and discharged from Aspen Level 2 Hospital.
• The attack was orchestrated by armed gangs to disrupt a planned Transitional Presidential Council (CPT) transition.
• MSSM spokesperson Jackson Ombaka stated that the officers held their ground, inflicting significant damage on the assailants, many of whom fled with serious injuries.
