Kajiado North MP Onesmus Ngogoyo has criticized President William Ruto for launching new projects while neglecting those from the previous administration, arguing that Ruto has failed to meet party standards. Speaking on Spice FM on Friday, August 8, the United Democratic Alliance legislator accused Ruto of misusing public funds and not adequately addressing pending bills owed to contractors.

• The criticism comes despite President Ruto's earlier assertion of combining the strengths of prior leaders, saying, "I have the courage of Jomo, I have the understanding of Moi, I have the education of Kibaki, and I have the plan we shared with Uhuru Kenyatta."
• Ngogoyo highlighted that Kenya's Roads Act already budgets for maintenance, including a Sh600 million allocation, implying government spending is not a "favor" but a standard procedure.
