President William Ruto has appointed Charles Kamau Karondo as the new Chairperson of the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) Board, replacing Mary Wambui Mungai.

• Karondo's appointment is for a three-year term, effective from August 8, 2025.
• The change was made in exercise of powers conferred by section 6(1)(a) of the Kenya Information and Communications Act.
• Mungai had been appointed CA chair in 2022, succeeding Gilbert Kibe.
