Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Eliud Lagat, recently visited Mandera County to assess the security situation. During his first visit to the region, he assured residents that overall security remains stable.

• Lagat met with senior security officials and noted that clan clashes have significantly subsided with no new cases recorded recently.
• He urged communities in volatile areas to maintain peace and respect the rule of law.
• Lagat reassured residents that individuals disrupting peace will be pursued and brought to justice.
