- The country's daily power demand now stands at 2,363.41 MW, according to the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (Epra).
- Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) played a crucial role, with hydroelectric plants producing 10,502.66 megawatt-hour (MWh) and geothermal contributing 12,728.87 MWh.
- The Managing Director of KenGen, Peter Njenga, stated that increased hydropower output was key in cushioning the system during peak periods, while the Cabinet approved the construction of Olkaria VII Geothermal Power to add 80.3MW to the grid.
